Blessings Through Partnership

Saving Grace, Queen Creek, AZ

There was a time in the not too distant past when Saving Grace was about to sell its assets and dissolve. They were without a full-time pastor and were saddled with a large debt that they could not pay. By God’s grace, LCEF stepped in and identified ways Saving Grace could continue ministry. LCEF believed in the vision of Saving Grace and creatively found ways to get Saving Grace on solid financial footing.

Pastor Tim Lawson exclaims, “Martin Luther identifies that God works through human hands. Our work is referred to as ‘the masks of God.’ I consider LCEF to be ‘a mask of God’ as God is working to accomplish His will through them. Without LCEF’s partnership, Saving Grace would be unable to achieve our vision ‘to connect all generations to Jesus.’”

God has blessed this powerful partnership between Saving Grace and LCEF. Today, Queen Creek, AZ, is one of the fastest growing communities in the United States. Pastor Lawson continues, “Thanks be to God for LCEF that many years ago, they worked with Saving Grace so that a Lutheran presence is still in this community. Saving Grace has been blessed to see God at work as many generations moving into our community are connecting to Jesus’ love. ‘Yet, we know that the work is not finished.’”

Saving Grace used LCEF for their recent Capital Campaign. The goal was to receive $1,000,000. They believe they will eclipse $1,000,000 received by the end of the month (March 2022) and still have 9 more months in the 3-year campaign!

In order to accomplish the vision God has given “to connect all generations to Jesus,” Saving Grace recently broke ground on a 300+ seat worship center and 7 classroom preschool. Their current worship space is a remodeled/gutted house that seats 140 people. Saving Grace recently called Preschool Director Cora Nash, a fantastic administrator who has experience starting Lutheran preschools. Pastor Lawson says, “This new facility will enable people in our community to gather on campus and receive God’s love. The new facility will enable people on campus to be equipped to go into our community and connect more people to Jesus’ love.”

Join us in Prayer

Gracious Heavenly Father, we give thanks for the partnership formed between Saving Grace and LCEF. We pray that you use Saving Grace to reach into the rapidly growing community around them so that they may connect all the generations of that community to You. Amen.
